If you prefer, you can provide a packed lunch for your child. Food must be brought to school in a suitable container marked with your child’s name. No glass containers, cans or fizzy drinks should be brought to school; drinks should be in non-breakable plastic containers.
We promote a healthy lifestyle and ask that you provide a healthy balanced packed lunch, avoiding sweet items, such as chocolate. Please include a main savoury item, such as a sandwich, quiche or pasty, as well as fruit and a drink each day. Food that is not eaten during the mealtime and any wrappers will be packed back in the lunchbox and brought home. This gives you an indication of how well your child is eating and allows you to judge how much food you need to pack for your child.
The national Standards and testing Agency set the tests to assess children in education from early years to the end of key stage 2.
Here you will find information for parents about the changes to end of key stage assessments in 2016. These assessments are undertaken in Year 2 and Year 6.
