To create a successful piece of writing, using the correct grammatical structures and punctuation is essential.
We will be focussing and building on the key grammatical terms and learning how it can be applied to our writing.

There are a variety of ways to help learn spellings:
Learn the spelling rules
Consonants versus vowels (write the spelling with consonants one colour and vowels in another)
Spelling pyramids (write the word, one letter at a time to build up to a triangular shape)
Crossword (create a crossword with the spelling words)
Squiggles (write the spellings in 'squiggles')
Draw the shapes (draw the shape of the words - larger shapes for letters that ascend and descend)
Graffiti spellings (write the words in a variety of different styles)
