Monster Phonics
As a school, we use Monster Phonics to help us to learn how to read and write. Please find some resources below. If you have any questions about monster phonics, how we teach phonics or how you can support your child at home, please email your class teacher.
In term 1, we focused on listening to sounds, orally segmenting and blending words. We met the monsters from Monster Phonics and where they lived. We also began to learn our initial phoneme grapheme correspondences. These are all 'black cat' sounds:
