Learning From Home

In our history lessons this week, we are learning about crime and punishment during the Victorian era. Read the PowerPoint carefully. Complete the activity matching the crime to possible punishments.

 

In English, we are writing a discussion text on whether Jim should run away from the workhouse.  Read the PowerPoint to revise the features of a discussion text.  Look at the model text for ideas.  Use the discussion marking ladder to self assess your writing.

Please read chapters 4 and 5 of Street child to help with your discussion text :@)

In Maths this week, we are revising our learning on multiples.  This will help us to add and subtract unlike fractions.  Please work through the PowerPoints carefully to help you with your learning.

In Forest school this term, we were asked to research 10 facts about John Muir.  Over the next five terms, we will be working towards the John Muir award.  Complete the comprehension task about him and then make a fact file about his life.  Make sure you bring it into school.
