Kent School Games Year 3/4 Tri-Golf Finals

River entered this tournament never having played Tri-golf before! The team certainly enjoyed this fast and exciting sport. The children had to complete a number of different golf challenges including tunnel ball and dominoes! Our team put in such a fantastic performance and finished in 7th position! Well done.

Tuesday 13th March Northbourne Park Cross-Country Relay

River took three teams to this annual cross-country event. This is a challenging, but enjoyable relay race which all three of our teams successfully completed. All of the children ran as fast as they could demonstrating, what resilient young people they are becoming! River 1 finished 11th, River 3 finished 14th and River 2 finished in 22nd place. Well done to you all, you should feel proud of your performance!

Saturday 18th November Kent Junior XC Championships

On a freezing Saturday morning 38 of our children competed in this county championship- What a performance from all who participated in this challenging event! With around 200 children per race River children showed perseverance and determination to complete their own personal challenge.

Tuesday 14th November Basketball Friendly match

A first for River today - a Basketball match! This was a new and exciting venture for some of our year 6 children. We played a friendly game against Capel Primary school and the whole team enjoyed learning the rules and skills required for Basketball. Everyone quickly applied the skills learnt and played with fluency, scoring with some incredible shoots! What a team performance to secure the win 18-15! Well done!
