Thursday 21st June Mini-marathon 

On Thursday our key stage 2 runners participated in the final hub event of the year. The weather was extremely hot however what a performance our runners put in! Isla won the year 3 girls race and Daniel finished 2nd, Blake 1st for year 4 boys. A clean sweep by the year 5 girls; Clara, Izzy and Molly with Olly 2nd for year 5 boys. Jasmine continued our winning streak for the year 6 girls and then the final race 1st 2nd and 3rd for our year 6 boys Noah, Harvey and Tom! All runners scored points for finishing position and once again River retained the cup! Well done to all of our runners on an amazing performance by you all!

Thursday 24th May Year 3/4 Festival of Sport

A team of children from year 3 and 4 competed in this event. Their experienced playing Boccia, Rapid Cricket and Tunnel Ball. As you can see from the photos all of the children enjoyed the new experience and played with big smiles on their faces throughout the whole afternoon! It was a fun and exciting experience for all involved.

Monday 26th March year 5/6 Multi-sports 

Three teams from River competed in our latest hub event. The sports that the children participated in were Benchball, Dodgeball and Kwik Fire Cricket. The sun shone on us for once has all the children gave their best effort! This was a non-competitive event and the whole afternoon demonstrated excellent sportsmanship, teamwork and perseverance. Well done to all who took part.

Wednesday 8th November Infant Agility

Today our year 1 and 2 Infant Agility team participated in the first learning hub sports event of the year. The children used the fundamental skills that their have been developing during games lessons to have fun, enjoy sport as well as continuing to improve their throwing and catching, running and aiming. The children all supported each other to succeed and left the event with big smiles on their faces! Well done!
